Josh Gottheimer for Congress Meet and Greet
American Legion Post 86
20 Yates Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860
Get excited Warren County Democrats! Josh Gottheimer, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 5th Congressional District, is coming to Newton for a Meet and Greet.
Josh's Republican opponent, Scott Garrett, is a multi-term incumbent who is among the most conservative members of Congress. Though Garrett has a sizable war chest, he is currently struggling to maintain his donor base. In 2015, he chose to withhold contributions to his own party's campaign arm, the NRCC, because of the organization's recruitment and support of gay candidates. Many of his most regular contributors, (mostly banks and financial services companies), have chosen to halt their contributions to Garrett because of his radical and hateful views about the LGBTQ community.
Meanwhile, in the last 3 months of 2015, Josh's was able to raise nearly double the amount of money Garrett raised, and was identified as a priority of the DCCC.
Josh has the policy understanding, the experience, the fundraising prowess, the support, and the momentum needed to win this race. Please try and make it to the Meet and Greet so you can see all this for yourself.
We hope you all chose to be there from the beginning to support #Josh4Congress and make sure Garrett is gone come the new year.

The Time Is Now To Get Involved With Warren County Democrats!
Together, Democrats won the fight for a raise in the minimum wage. We maintained Democratic majorities in the Senate and Assembly, keeping the Legislature to put checks on our Governor-turned-presidential-candidate.
In 2015, we'll strengthen the Democratic Party in New Jersey by electing more Democrats than ever before in Warren County and the state.
Make a contribution or sign up to volunteer today and help us make your voice be heard! 25
